CPCU Society Presque Isle Chapter Scholarship Information
The CPCU Society Presque Isle Chapter Scholarship is available annually to eligible full time undergraduate or graduate students attending a school located in northwestern Pennsylvania. Selection is based on an essay submission and academic achievements.
Eligibility Requirements
The CPCU Society Presque Isle Chapter Scholarship is available to:
full time undergraduate or graduate students who are pursuing a degree in a qualifying major at a university, college, or vocational training school located in northwestern Pennsylvania
or
a child/ward of an active Presque Isle CPCU Society Chapter member who is enrolled full time in a qualifying major at a university, college, or vocational training school within the United States.
Full time status is defined by the academic institution at which the student is enrolled. High school seniors are eligible to apply if pursuing full time status with a qualifying major at a university, college, or vocational training school located in northwestern Pennsylvania.
Active Presque Isle CPCU Society Chapter members are those with all dues paid in full and in good standing with the CPCU Society at both local and national levels.
Qualifying majors include disciplines from which the insurance industry draws employees. This includes fields such as Accounting, Actuarial, Business Administration, Computer Science, Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, Insurance Management, Management Information Systems, Risk Management and other related studies.
Grade point average of a minimum 3.0.
Award Criteria
Candidates will be judged on their response to an essay prompt, academic standing, and past work/community service experiences.

Scholarship Amount
$1000 payable to student account at associated educational institution
Award Notification
Recipients will be notified within one month of deadline date.
